Greek Seasoning Blend
- 2 tsp. sea salt
- 2 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. dried marjoram
- 1 tsp. dried parsley.
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp. lemon peel
- ½ tsp. dried thyme
- ¼ tsp. dried dill
- ¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
Blend ingredients together in clean coffee grinder or with mortar and pestle. Store in small mason jar away from light and heat.
Greek Dressing
When ready to use, mix 2 Tab. seasoning blend in 2 Tab. water; let sit 5 minutes. Add 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar (or red wine vinegar) and ½ cup extra virgin olive oil. ½ Recipe: Mix 1 Tab. in 1 Tab. water; let sit 5 minutes. Also wonderful as a marinade for chicken and vegetables (onions, zucchini, red bell peppers, mushrooms). |
