What level is this class?
- This class is appropriate for everyone! I'll offer modifications and lots of options. Class pace is slow enough to allow focus on proper alignment to safely move into more challenging poses if and when you're ready.
What if it rains?
- Join me rain or shine! We'll set our yoga mats on the grass underneath the beautiful aspen trees but if it rains, I've rented the pavilion so I've literally got you covered.
What should I bring to class?
- Bring your yoga mat and any desired props, like blocks and a strap. I also recommend bringing a water bottle. Feel free to pack lunch and join us for a picnic after class. If your knees are tender, bring a towel or blanket to cushion your knees.
Where is Rotary Park located?
- Rotary Park is 1/3 mile off Route 224 at the end of Payday Drive. Click here for directions.
When should I arrive?
- Please arrive early so that you have plenty of time to meet your fellow yogis and set up your mat. Sam will arrive at least 25 minutes before class starts.
Where should I park?
- There's plenty of parking, including a parking lot and free street parking.
How much should I donate? And how?
- Class drop-in rates throughout Park City are typically $20+ but any and all donations are very much appreciated. You can make your donation by cash, check (payable to Samantha Zilvitis), venmo (@Samantha-Zilvitis), or Paypal (paypal.me/parkcitysam). Thanks in advance for your support.
Will we be practicing in the sun?
- Rotary Park is very shady but I always recommend sunscreen for anything outdoors, especially at our high altitude. If you have sensitive eyes, you may enjoy sunglasses or a baseball cap but the trees filter most of the sun's rays. If it rains, we'll practice under the pavilion.
Will I need to sign a waiver?
- Yes, all participants need to sign a waiver. There will be waivers at the park or click here to print the waiver and bring it with you to class. Once you've completed the waiver, attend as many classes as you want.

"Sam's extensive experience, impressive knowledge, and kindness-based approach to yoga is always a joy. When I first came to Yoga class and an Ayurveda workshop while on vacation in Park City a couple of years ago, I never dreamed I could now attend them virtually from my home in GA. Thank you, Sam for tirelessly sharing your GIFT with those around the country! It's a much needed opportunity for connecting to others in the wellness community, and also a fabulous way to collectively take a deep breath. THANK YOU for all of your hard work, Sam! We appreciate you!"

"I have been attending Sam's Basic yoga classes at The Shop for about four years. She is very welcoming to both regulars and visitors to Park City. I particularly value the tone and speed of her classes, and every time I get on my mat I learn something new, whether it be about a pose or about my body! She is physically strong, and demonstrates the levels of poses extremely well. In addition, I absolutely love hearing the names of the yoga poses in Sanskrit! I would recommend her as a fabulous yoga teacher without hesitation."
