Chocolate Banana Smoothie
I love to experiment with not-so-healthy recipes and see if I can transform them into healthier, but still delicious, delights. This smoothie even got the thumbs-up from my daughter. This recipe makes 1 large smoothie - a perfect after-school treat.
Place all ingredients into a blender. Enjoy!
Note: I wait until the bananas on my counter are very ripe, then I cut them into small slices and freeze them on a baking sheet before storing them in a zip-loc bag in my freezer. The smaller frozen banana slices are much less work for your blender.
- 1 c. unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 2 tsp. raw unsweetened cacao or cocoa
- 1 tsp. raw organic agave nectar (or sweetener of your choice)
- 1 1/2 frozen bananas
Place all ingredients into a blender. Enjoy!
