What's my dosha?

While we each possess all 3 doshas (more here), we tend to have an abundance of one or two doshas.

Your prakruti is your inherent constitution or doshic mix which was determined at conception. Your unique prakruti represents your natural state of equlibrium and your blueprint for perfect health.

Your vikruti is your current doshic mix.  Your vikruti represents your current imbalances which manifest as overabundant doshas.  Your vikruti can change over time because it is affected by your lifestyle, diet, circumstances, environment, emotions, seasons and the rhythms of life.

Since our unique prakruti represent our blueprint for balance and abundant health, our goal is to reduce any aggravated doshas in order to return to our prakruti.

Knowledge is power.  When you better understand yourself, you can begin to take the steps to create more balance in your life.  Determining your prakruti and current vikruti is a wonderful starting point to self-awareness. Take my dosha quiz here:

Vikruti changes over time so periodically re-take the vikruti quiz (especially seasonally).
